That was the aim with this exhibition for SIH (the Sustainability Innovation Hub) at ZARA’s flagship store in Milan – to bring to life the good work done behind the scenes. The store takeover, designed with Random Studio, would display several ventures in sustainable fashion, in a temporary space appropriate to their intentions. This meant developing a pop-up visually engaging enough to match their ambition, and smart enough for their innovativeness.
The creative strategy emphasised low intervention and coexistence with the space, just as it highlighted the SIH’s gestures towards fashion’s future within the brand’s past. Embracing the exhibition’s temporary nature, mounted images, screens and audiovisuals created an engaging experience around static imagery. Ultimately, this gave the space a narrative dimension: telling the SIH’s story by immersing visitors – chapter by chapter, theme by theme, step by step.
